Corporate Intranets are powerful and important business tools. As Intranet technologies mature, corporations are expanding their Intranets in creative ways. This program provides a unique opportunity to see popular pages from three corporate Intranets. A panel of experts will share their best practices for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and more effective internal communication.
This panel represents two prominent companies: AMC Networks and CA Technologies:
Jennifer Grasso is director, internal communications for AMC Networks Inc.
A member of IABC and several distinguished cable and entertainment
industry associations, Jennifer is responsible for developing and overseeing
the implementation of the internal communications strategy, programs and
systems -- as well as corporate employee events -- for AMC Networks Inc. and
several of the most popular and award-winning brands in cable television, AMC,
IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv and IFC Films.
Most recently, Jennifer developed and oversaw an employee
Intranet strategy and platform implementation for AMC Networks that reflects
its new company branding and operations. The effort was part of
multi-faced internal communications plan developed and executed by Jennifer
after the Company's spin-off from Cablevision and simultaneous re-brand from
Rainbow Media to form AMC Networks Inc., a stand-alone public company.
Tim Penn is Advisor,
Employee Communications, at CA Technologies, Inc. Tim spearheaded two
significant refreshes of CA Technologies' intranet homepage -- based on
corporate-wide communications surveys and focus group results. Each
refresh was designed to significantly improve navigation, while providing more
opportunities to post news/information and reduce the use of email for mass
distribution.
Tim joined CA Technologies in 2006 from Ameriprise Financial (formerly American Express Financial Advisors). There, he was Vice President, Employee Communications. Tim has held similar corporate communications positions at Prudential Insurance, Volkswagen of America, CNA Insurance and J.M. Huber Corporation.
Douglas Wald is Senior Director, Online Marketing at CA Technologies,
Inc. Doug is responsible for the global content management strategy, web
production and business development of the corporate website for one of the
largest independent software companies.
Doug provides guidance to executive management,
senior management and colleagues in product marketing, corporate marketing,
international marketing, field marketing, investor relations, partner
marketing, services marketing, technical support programs, sales programs and
thought leadership initiatives in the areas of web content deployment best
practices, content sourcing, demand-generation, integrated marketing,
engagement, SEO/SEM and web analytics, supporting the company's go-to-market
strategy across 7 business units.
